1. Who We Are

Rehearsals is an AI-powered interview-practice platform that helps you prepare for real interviews by simulating interview sessions and giving you automated feedback on your answers. In this Privacy Policy, "Rehearsals", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator of the Rehearsals service.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information. It applies to our website, web app, mobile apps, and any related services (together, the "Service").

2. Scope

This policy covers anyone who creates an account, uses the Service, or otherwise interacts with Rehearsals. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

3. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: your email address, name, phone number, and the job title or job description you provide so we can tailor your interview practice.
  • Résumé uploads: any résumé or CV you upload. We store these files and parse their contents (for example, your experience, skills, and education) so the AI can generate relevant questions and feedback.
  • Interview recordings and answers: audio and/or video recordings of your practice interviews, and the text transcriptions of your spoken answers.
  • Usage, device, and log data: how you interact with the Service, your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, and timestamps.
  • Payment details: when you buy a package, payment information is collected and processed by our payment processor. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
  • Sign-in provider data: if you sign in with Google, LinkedIn, or Apple, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email) from that provider, subject to the permissions you grant.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including running your practice interviews.
  • Generate AI feedback and scoring by processing your answers and résumé. Your transcribed answers and parsed résumé content are analyzed by Google Gemini to produce feedback, suggestions, and performance scores.
  • Create and manage your account and preferences.
  • Process payments and manage your purchased packages.
  • Communicate with you about your account, results, support requests, security notices, and (where permitted) product updates.
  • Keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and debug problems.
  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

5. AI Processing Disclosure

Rehearsals relies on artificial intelligence to deliver its core feature. When you complete a practice interview or upload a résumé:

  • Your transcribed answers and the parsed contents of your résumé are sent to and analyzed by Google Gemini, our AI provider, so that automated feedback, suggestions, and scores can be produced.
  • This processing is necessary to provide the Service you have requested. The feedback is generated automatically and is intended for practice purposes only.

6. How We Share Your Information

We share personal data only as described below, and only as needed to run the Service:

  • Service providers and processors who act on our behalf:
    • Google Cloud — hosting and storage of the Service and your data.
    • Google (Gemini AI) — processing your answers and résumé to generate feedback.
    • Moyasar — processing your payments.
    • Our email provider — sending transactional and account emails.
    • OAuth providers (Google, LinkedIn, Apple) — only when you choose to sign in through them.
  • Authorities or other parties where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it for third-party advertising.

7. Data Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information for longer where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and storage on Google Cloud's secure infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one you live in, including where our service providers (such as Google Cloud and Google Gemini) operate. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data, including the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

11. Children

The Service is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date shown on this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
